Anneliese’s message to her constituents:
“I would like to thank the people of Oxford East who put their trust in me yesterday and voted to re-elect me as their Member of Parliament. Thank you to all the volunteers who spent hours in the freezing cold to get our message out to voters.
I will continue to work to put the people Oxford East first, to protect jobs at BMW Cowley, to tackle the climate crisis and deal with skyrocketing housing costs across Oxford. I am deeply disappointed that I won’t be doing this a part of a Labour Government but will continue to do all I can as an opposition MP.
I understand that many people in Oxford East are feeling uncertain about what the future holds but I am committed to lending my voice to those who are feeling voiceless.
Thank you again for putting your faith in me once more.”
